ADDITIVES (/KG): Nutritional additives: Vitamin A - 18 000 IU, Vitamin D3 - 1 700 IU, Vitamin E - 200 IU, iron (iron (II) sulphate monohydrate) - 50 mg, iodine (calcium iodate anhydrous) - 1.5 mg, copper (copper (II) sulphate pentahydrate) - 5 mg, manganese (manganous sulphate monohydrate) - 35 mg, zinc (zinc sulphate monohydrate) - 65 mg, selenium (sodium selenite) - 0.1 mg, taurine - 100 mg, L-carnitine - 250 mg. When we developed our new dry food, we focused on selecting ingredients that are natural and nutritious but come at a slightly lower cost. In Insects & Rice, the amount of insect protein has hence been reduced in favor of more plant-based ingredients—the insect protein content is 14%. This way, it still provides the essential animal amino acids your dog needs, but it is supplemented with plant-based protein sources to reach a total protein content of 22%.

The species we use as the only animal ingredient is the larvae of the black soldier fly, a species that is a real nutritional powerhouse. The larvae contain plenty of easily digestible protein, crucial for muscle building and performance. They also contain beneficial fatty acids that support skin, coat, and brain function. As if that weren't enough, they are gentle on the stomach and help maintain a balanced gut flora.

As the name suggests, we have chosen rice as the main carbohydrate source, but potatoes, peas and barley also contribute important nutrients and energy in this food.

In this way, we’ve been able to develop a high-quality, insect-based, complete, nd balanced food with natural ingredients, but at a slightly lower price for you as a customer—so that everyone can enjoy the health benefits of insect-based nutrition!

Insects & Rice contains insect protein as the only source of animal protein. Because it is a novel protein source, it may be more suitable for dogs with food allergies or dietary sensitivities. Our food contains no other animal ingredients and is therefore free from common food allergens such as beef, chicken, dairy products, lamb, and eggs.

As a carbohydrate source, we primarily use rice, an ingredient well-known for being easily digestible for a dog's stomach.

Nutrients that feed the good bacteria in the gut are called prebiotics. Our feed contains the prebiotic MOS (mannan-oligosaccharides) to give the good gut bacteria optimal conditions to thrive.

Dietary fiber contributes to an increased feeling of fullness, healthy bowel movements, and transit time of the feed. In our feed, barley provides complex carbohydrates and natural dietary fibers, while rice is an easily digestible source of energy that is also known to be gentle on the stomach. The insect protein we use is also highly digestible, allowing the important nutrients in the feed to be easily absorbed.
