In September, Petgood is launching two highly anticipated products – a new dry food for adult dogs based on insects and rice, and a complete wet food for cats. Below you'll find more information about the new products!
We always develop our products based on feedback from our customers. One strong request has been for a more affordable option – for those who want to feed their dogs insect-based food but have a slightly smaller budget. So, how does Insects & Rice offer a lower price than our Premium food?
Well, when we developed our new food, we made sure to select ingredients that are still natural and nutritious but come at a slightly lower cost. In Insects & Rice, the amount of insect protein has been reduced in favor of more plant-based ingredients – the proportion of insect protein is 14%. This still contributes the essential amino acids that dogs need, but is complemented by plant-based protein sources to reach a total protein content of 22%.
As the name suggests, we chose rice as the carbohydrate source, but potatoes and barley also contribute important energy in this food. In our premium food, instead, a healthy mix of oats, vegetables, and superfoods provides an energy boost and natural antioxidants for an active dog.
In this way, we’ve been able to develop a complete and balanced insect-based food of high quality with natural ingredients, but at a slightly lower price for customers – so everyone can enjoy the health benefits of insect-based food!
One of our most requested products has long been a wet food for cats. Our wet food for dogs quickly became a well-loved and popular product, and now we're finally launching a counterpart for cats.
The wet food for cats, like all our products, is based on the nutrient-rich larvae of the black soldier fly. With a high insect content, our wet food is packed with animal protein and healthy fatty acids, as well as prebiotics to support gut health.
The wet food can be used as a complete meal or as a complement to dry food. It’s also an excellent way to ensure that your cat gets enough hydration.
