COMPOSITION: Black Soldier Fly Larvae (Hermetia illucens) (53%), potato protein (4%), sunflower oil (1.5%), oat flour (1%), minerals, inulin (0.4%)

ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS: Crude protein 10.0%, crude fat 7.5%, crude fibre 0.5%, crude ash 1.5%, moisture: 75.5%.

NUTRITIONAL ADDITIVES (per kg): VITAMINS/kg: vitamin A 35,000 IU, vitamin D3 75 IU, vitamin E 30 mg, biotin 100 µg. TRACE ELEMENTS/kg: zinc (zinc sulphate monohydrate) 15 mg, manganese (manganous sulphate monohydrate) 6 mg, copper (copper(II) sulphate pentahydrate) 1 mg, iodine (calcium iodate anhydrous) 0.3 mg.

METABOLISABLE ENERGY: 1230 kcal/kg.

INSTRUCTIONS: Storage conditions: Store in dry conditions at ambient temperatures. An opened package should be kept well sealed in the refrigerator and has a best-before date of 2-3 days, but is often enjoyable for several more days - smell and look! It is advised to divide the daily amount into at least 2 servings a day and serve at room temperature.

PRODUCTION: Our insect protein is sourced from The Netherlands. Except for insect protein, we only use EU-sourced plant based ingredients. We also produce our food in The Netherlands, in close proximity to the insect facility.

Insects are incredibly nutrient-rich. They are an animal protein source, rich in the same essential nutrients that your dog would get from traditional meat. This means that insects contain all the protein and amino acids your dog needs to get energy and build muscles.

As a bonus, the black soldier fly larvae have high digestibility, which means that your pet can easily digest and absorb the valuable protein. On top of that, our amazing insects also provide essential fatty acids and minerals!

Our wet food contains the natural prebiotic inulin from the chicory root, which has proven beneficial effects on the intestinal bacterial flora. Just like in humans, research has shown how a healthy intestinal flora in dogs and cats has positive effects on the body's well-being and general immune system.

Prebiotics in combination with the highly digestible insect protein, make our wet food extra kind to the digestive system.

Our wet food contains insect fat, rich in the healthy fatty acid lauric acid, which has been shown to have anti-oxidant activity. Lauric acid is a type of fatty acid called a Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT). MCT's have been proven to be beneficial to the health of the dog's brain, and even have potential to slow down signs of canine cognitive decline or "dementia" (read more about this interesting article on insect fat on our research page!)

The diet also contains sunflower oil, packed with omega-6 fatty acids for skin and coat health.

Our products are developed by our own team of vets and small animal nutritionists to ensure the best possible nutrition for dogs and promote their health. Additionally, in collaboration with leading universities, Petgoods' veterinary team is actively advancing research on insect protein.
