A complete food tailored for senior dogs or dogs that need a lower-calorie diet. Rich in easily digestible insect protein to help maintain muscle mass, with a lower fat content to prevent excess weight. Contains glucosamine & chondroitin to help support joint function.
The older dog, which may also have become less active, can more easily gain weight. Our senior/light food has a lower fat and calorie content while still meeting the older dog’s needs for protein, vitamins, and minerals. It also contains L-carnitine, an amino acid that supports fat metabolism while helping to preserve muscle mass.
The food is also ideal for adult dogs that are overweight, prone to gaining weight, or neutered.
Our senior/light food contains glucosamine and chondroitin to help maintain healthy joints. These naturally occurring substances support cartilage structure, promote mobility, and can help reduce stiffness – keeping senior dogs active and comfortable for longer.

The black soldier fly larvae is an animal-based protein source, rich in essential nutrients and amino acids that your dog needs for energy and muscle building. The protein is easily digestible, making it easier for the stomach and intestines to absorb these important nutrients.

Our diets contains healthy dietary fibers and prebiotics from natural sources, which has proven beneficial effects on the intestinal bacterial flora. Just like in humans, research has shown how a healthy intestinal flora in dogs and cats has positive effects on the body's well-being and general immune system.
Nutrients that feed the good bacteria in the gut are called prebiotics. Our feed contains natural prebiotics from the chicory root (inulin; FOS), to give the good intestinal bacteria optimal conditions to thrive. Dietary fiber contributes with an increased feeling of satiety, a healthy movement of intestines and passage time of the feed.

COMPOSITION: Black Soldier Fly Larvae (Hermetia illucens) (27%), corn, dehulled oats, peas, rapeseed oil, linseed, hydrolyzed yeast extract, dried beet pulp (1%), minerals, brewer’s yeast, dried chicory (a natural source of FOS and inulin) (0.2%), dried seaweed (0.1%), glucosamine (0.05%), chondroitin sulphate (0.05%), dried carrots (0.05%), yucca schidigera (0.02%).
ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS: Crude protein 24.0%, Crude fat 9.0%, Inorganic matter 6.5%, Crude fibre 5%, Moisture 9.0%, Calcium 1.0%, Phosphorus 0.6%, Omega-3 fatty acids 0.7%, Omega-6 fatty acids 2.5%.

The feeding advice is based on a normal energy requirement of your dog. The body condition of your dog is the guidance for the actual feeding amount. When needed, you can give more or less food in order to keep your dog in optimal condition. It is advised to divide the daily amount of food in two portions. We always recommend making a transition over about a week to ten days, where you gradually increase the amount of new feed and reduce the amount of the previous feed. This is recommended at all feed changes to reduce the risk of a reaction from the gastrointestinal system.
Yes, our light food is perfect for neutered dogs! It has a lower fat and calorie content to help prevent overweight, which is more common in neutered dogs.
The recommended age of reaching the "Senior" life stage differs between breeds of dogs and overall health status. In general terms the larger the breed, the younger in age they will reach the Senior life stage. Below is a general recommendation of Senior life stages in age, depending upon the size of your dog.

No, our food is a complete and balanced diet, which means that your dog gets all the nutrients he or she needs.
Our feed is a standard diet, but we only use a new and unusual protein source - insect protein. Thanks to the fact that the dog has not encountered the protein source before, the risk of an allergic reaction is lower. Our feed contains no other animal protein sources and is, in other words, free from common food allergens such as beef, chicken, dairy products, lamb and eggs.
