A more healthy and sustainable pet world
My name is Pernilla and I am not only the founder of Petgood, I am also the owner of my yellow Labrador, Siri. It was when Siri became part of our family, that I began to reflect on what she was actually eating and how it affected her, and future generations.
I wanted to give Siri healthy and nutritious food without burdening our planet. Together with my co-founder Thomas and our veterinarian, Nicky, we came up with the solution: insect protein. Petgood was born, and in 2020 we became the first company in the Nordics to launch insect-based pet food - a food with dogs' and cats' health as the top priority, while also having a low climate impact.
Years have passed, more products have been launched, and most importantly, we have thousands of satisfied customers who experience the benefits of Petgood every day - the most nutritious and sustainable meat on the planet!
SLU study
In the spring of 2024, Petgood collaborated with Ellinor Hammarberg from the Animal and Sustainability program at SLU, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. The study focused on dogs diagnosed with food allergies. The results speak for themselves and align with the proven health benefits you can read about on our research page.
