Make your dog feel safe in different situations with other people and dogs - the earlier you start with environmental and social training, the better.
For the first few days after you get your puppy, its focus should be on getting to know his new home and family. But as soon as that step is completed, it's time to start environmental and social training! Dogs should have experienced all sorts of different environments when they are 1 year old. From cars to boats, to forests, beaches, and restaurants.
Feel free to take your puppy to different places where it can explore its new environment and praise your companion when it is curious and doing the right thing. It's fine if you sometimes need to help your puppy in the new environment, just make sure to stay calm. You can also attract your puppy with words of encouragement. Combine environment and social training and remember that you have a responsibility to ensure that your puppy has good experiences with other people and dogs. Your puppy must be allowed to spend time with other dogs to develop his dog language. Yup, we all need to practice communication, dogs as humans.
Have fun! 🚀
